Job Responsibilities:

The Harbours Apartments is currently seeking an Activities Coordinator who can plan, implement and evaluate social events for the community. This position entails coordinating and advertising for programs to encourage socialization and fulfillment amongst residents with the intention of providing an enhanced resident experience. The right candidate will be attentive to details and will work cooperatively with the property operations staff to provide an exceptional customer experience for our residents, prospective residents, and guests.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Organizing community parties and other special events such as volunteer events, vendor shows, breakfast on the go, pool parties, Toys for Tots, holiday events, etc.
  • Working cohesively with the marketing team to create attractive advertisements for each event.
  • Ordering supplies for events and keep receipts organized.
  • Managing fitness class schedules.
  • Communicating with vendors and negotiate prices for services.
  • Assisting with supervising the lifeguards during pool season.
  • Monitoring and adjust pool chemical levels on a regular basis.
  • Following all federal laws and fair housing regulations.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Job Qualifications:
  • Marketing or event planning experience is preferred.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance as a company representative, demonstrating sound judgment and conduct.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must meet the physical requirements to set up activities, such as climbing stairs.
  • Must possess exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computer software, especially Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Must have creative abilities and experience working with Adobe.
  • Yardi Voyager or related property management software experience a preferred!
  • Must present the ability to execute job duties under stressful circumstances, such as last minute deadlines or other difficult situations.
  • Must adhere to company team-apparel policy.
  • Regular attendance, work ethic and strong interpersonal skills are required for success in this position.
  • Must possess a dependable means of transportation and valid driver's license. 

Employees are required to be honest and trustworthy with a satisfactory background. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation will be required, as this position will entail the operation of a personal and potentially a company vehicle.
