Large apartment development/management company is seeking a professional, motivated individual to assist with construction project management in its corporate office. As a part of the construction team, this individual will purchase labor and materials, develop material take offs from blueprints, review building plans and communicate with field superintendents.
Must possess the ability to interpret construction drawings (site, architectural, structural, plumbing, HVAC, electrical)
Knowledge of residential construction trades and building codes
Ability to communicate with subcontractors, vendors, team members, inspectors and suppliers
Must be detailed orientated, self motivated and well organized
Proficient in computer operations and Microsoft outlook, experience with AutoCAD a plus
Knowledgeable in building materials and installation techniques used in residential construction
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Bidding and negotiating with subcontractors
Specifying and purchasing materials, ability to figure ROI and payback periods, budget projections
Must a minimum of five years practical experience in the construction field
